Remote Middle Data Engineer

Description:

• The Middle Data Engineer position at Miratech involves joining a specialized team responsible for managing and optimizing automated pipelines for software delivery.
• The role includes collaborating with other teams to ensure efficient and reliable deployment processes across multiple environments.
• Responsibilities include software engineering phases, product feature design and implementation, automation using Agile and DevOps, and utilizing CI/CD systems like Jenkins, GitHub, and SonarQube.
• The position requires working with Big Data technologies such as Azure Cloud, Databricks, Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, and more to enrich and transform data.
• Building microservice-driven products using OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker is also part of the role.
• The Middle Data Engineer will lead technology decisions, support implementation, troubleshoot production issues, mentor junior engineers, and demonstrate expertise in Big Data and Java development.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java stack.
• 3+ years of experience with Big Data/Azure Cloud, Hadoop, Databricks, Java, Spark, Scala, and Apache Kafka.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and strong knowledge of CI/CD.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Passion for engineering, delivering great software, and experience in scalable API services.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology and clear communication skills.
