Remote Middle PHP Engineer

• Your tasks include developing and maintaining scalable web applications using PHP, optimizing and enhancing existing functionality, and participating in designing and improving application architecture.
• You will work with MySQL databases, ensuring efficient queries and database performance, and implement and maintain web services (REST) to support application functionality.
• Adhering to SOLID principles and best coding practices is essential, as is collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and product managers, to deliver high-quality solutions.
• You will deploy, monitor, and maintain services owned by the team, work on multiple projects while ensuring alignment with the overall eCommerce architecture, and maintain clear documentation while writing clean, maintainable code.

Requirements:

• You must have 2+ years of experience building scalable software in PHP.
• Experience with MySQL is required.
• A proficiency in English at a B2 level or higher is necessary.
• You should have a proficiency in Russian or Ukrainian at a C1 level or higher.
• It will be an advantage if you have experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and GCP.
• Familiarity with API Web service design is preferred.
• A high comfort level with Linux is beneficial.
• Basic knowledge of Ruby is a plus, with Ruby on Rails being advantageous since it’s used in some teams.
