Remote Mid/Senior Software Engineer - API Integration (LatAm)

Description:

• As a Mid/Senior Software Engineer at Nova Credit, you will be responsible for developing high-impact features and enhancements for the API integration platform that supports the suite of products.
• Your role will involve integrating new consumer-permissioned data APIs into the platform and enhancing observability around API integration and data ingestion for internal or customer needs.
• You will also work on developing internal tooling, frameworks, and unit testing to enhance developer experience, velocity, and quality.
• Participation in standard engineering activities like technical design, code reviews, on-call support, documentation, and sprint ceremonies is expected.

Requirements:

• You should have at least 4 years of software engineering experience with a U.S. or Canadian-based technology company.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in integrating external APIs and utilizing related protocols such as https, oauth, jwt, and webhooks is required.
• Proficiency in Javascript or Typescript is essential.
• Strong skills in SQL, including advanced queries, schema design, functions, indexes, and partitioning, are necessary.
• Experience in building JS-based web systems like Express.js is preferred.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana, Kibana, or Datadog is a plus.
• Ability to design performant solutions in AWS, explain design decisions, and understand tradeoffs is crucial.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and troubleshooting skills is expected.
• Being curious, self-driven, and eager to learn are important qualities for this role.
