Description:

  • Phaidra is seeking an ML Applications Engineer to join their team remotely, focusing on building AI-powered control systems for the industrial sector.
  • The role involves wearing multiple hats, including Software Engineer, Controls Engineer, Data Scientist, ML Engineer, and Solutions Engineer.
  • Responsibilities include understanding Phaidra’s internal platform, collaborating with Solutions Engineers and the Research team to develop solutions for customer applications, onboarding and maintaining agents that control industrial facilities, and prototyping tools for agent management.
  • The engineer will also be responsible for maintaining clear documentation of research, communications, and actions.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 4+ years of progressive relevant work experience.
  • Previous experience as a Software Engineer, Data Scientist, or Machine Learning Engineer in an industrial controls or process engineering environment is required.
  • A solid understanding of ML concepts and the ability to reason about systems with non-deterministic components is necessary.
  • Knowledge of industrial processing systems, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer is essential.
  • Fluency in a high-level programming language, preferably Python, is required.
  • Candidates should possess natural curiosity, a desire to learn, and problem-solving skills in new domains.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills are necessary.
