Description:

  • As a Data Engineer at Cloudbeds, you will be responsible for building and implementing end-to-end features and functionality to help lodging customers optimize their revenue through informed pricing decisions.
  • You will work on features that utilize simple heuristic data as well as algorithmic or machine learning components.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to drive revenue growth for hotels.
  • Develop and implement machine learning models to optimize revenue opportunities for customers.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines, analyze data sets, and design experiments to test new features and improvements.
  • Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Data Science.
  • 3+ years of experience in a data engineering role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Expertise deploying machine learning models on the Cloud at scale, e.g., using MLFlow.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with large datasets.
  • Proficiency with AWS or other cloud computing platforms.
  • Experience implementing machine learning models using Python and familiarity with data science frameworks like Pandas and Scikit-Learn.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, creative thinking, and application development skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
