Remote ML Engineer

Description:

• We are seeking a Machine Learning (ML) Engineer to support our Fortune 100 client, a global provider of healthcare and retail pharmacy services, in building industry-leading analytics, data, and technology platforms to help reimagine health care.
• This position will serve a critical role within a cross-functional team to develop and optimize ML models, refactor codebases, and contribute to overall software architecture.
• Your efforts will play a pivotal role in driving advancements in pharmaceutical research, pricing strategy, medication optimization, and clinical data analysis.
• The position is fully remote within the U.S., with a preference for Eastern or Central Time.
• The contract duration is through the end of 2024, with a likely extension and potential for conversion to hire.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of industry experience in machine learning, software engineering, or a related role is necessary.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL is essential.
• Experience with Big Data Technologies, such as Hadoop and Spark, is required.
• Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices, including version control, code optimization, and testing, is necessary.
• Hands-on experience in implementing, optimizing, and maintaining ML models in production environments is required.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize complex systems, are essential.
• Preferred qualifications include experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry and familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
