Remote ML Engineer

• This position is a remote, 5-month contract for an experienced ML Engineer.
• Responsibilities include studying and transforming data science prototypes into production-ready machine learning models.
• The engineer will train, retrain, and monitor machine learning systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams is required to integrate machine learning solutions into production systems and applications.
• The role involves identifying and addressing potential issues in data distribution that may affect model performance in real-world scenarios.
• The engineer must ensure algorithms generate accurate and relevant recommendations.
• Building and maintaining high-performance, scalable machine learning data pipelines to support restaurant technology solutions is essential.
• The position requires designing and developing data pipelines to ingest data from various sources, including point-of-sale systems and back-of-house operations.
• The engineer will leverage open-source frameworks and cloud-based tools to build and maintain the data platform.
• Implementing and managing production support processes, including data lifecycle management and data quality assurance, is part of the role.
• Developing scalable REST APIs in Python to expose machine learning models and data services is also required.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in a relevant field is necessary.
• Experience in customer intelligence, pricing models, or mixed media modeling is preferred.
• Familiarity with the Julia programming language is a plus.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills are essential.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
• Strong communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration.
• In-depth knowledge of machine learning frameworks such as Keras and TensorFlow is required.
• Experience with AWS platform development, including EKS, S3, API Gateway, and Lambda, is necessary.
• A deep understanding of probability, statistics, and algorithms is essential.
