Remote ML Engineering Lead

Description:

• As an ML engineering lead at Distill, you will be responsible for building core ML services and enhancing the usage of large language models to create profiles on people and companies.
• Your tasks will include structured data extraction, summarization, search ranking, recommendation, categorization, building knowledge graphs, and text generation.
• You will work on making people and company profile pages more accurate and faster to load, as well as developing new experiences for research purposes.
• You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, contribute to long-term architecture decisions, and help grow the product.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on machine learning.
• Good understanding of recent NLP developments, including transformers, language models, question answering, and information retrieval.
• Ability to work independently as the sole ML engineer on a team.
• Experience in training and deploying models to production systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and creativity in overcoming technical challenges.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
