Remote Mobile Engineer - Contract Position

Description:

• ECP is seeking experienced engineers for a contract position as a Mobile Engineer to join their team and contribute to improving life in senior living communities globally.
• The company offers a market-leading SaaS solution used in over 6,000 communities worldwide and aims to expand its customer base and product offerings.
• The role involves leading the migration of existing Xamarin applications to the .NET MAUI framework and leveraging its new features and capabilities.
• Responsibilities include refactoring and optimizing code for performance and maintainability, addressing compatibility issues, and ensuring a smooth transition to the new platform.
• The Mobile Engineer will design, develop, and maintain high-quality mobile applications for Windows App Store, iOS, and Android platforms using .NET MAUI for cross-platform applications with native performance.
• The position requires preparing and submitting apps to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, handling submission requirements, and troubleshooting deployment issues.
• The engineer will conduct thorough testing on various devices and operating system versions and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and backend developers.
• The position is open to remote candidates within the U.S., although the headquarters is located in Wisconsin.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
• Candidates must have 4+ years of software development experience.
• The ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems autonomously is essential.
• Proficiency with full-stack front-end and back-end frameworks and languages is required.
• Candidates should have 4+ years of experience with Xamarin or .NET MAUI.
• A minimum of 2+ years of experience with SQL (MSSQL, PostgreSQL) is necessary.
• A passion for writing great code that helps people is important.
• Experience with common applicable design patterns and object-oriented development is required.
• Candidates should have experience working in an agile development process.
• Fluent English with strong grammatical skills is necessary.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
