Description:
Peerspace is the leading online marketplace for venue rentals for meetings, productions, and events, with over 40,000 spaces available.
The company is seeking a software engineer to join the mobile team and become an expert in business-critical technical areas for their consumer-facing marketplace.
The role involves building compelling user experiences with high user engagement and working on critical product engineering projects.
Responsibilities include end-to-end product development, creating reusable and testable code, interfacing with the Product team, and participating in daily standups and retrospectives.
The engineer will identify problem areas, drive initiatives for reliability and scalability, and participate in code reviews and technical documentation.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in production mobile app development.
Experience with Fastlane, Circle CI, and build automation is required.
Production-level experience with React Native and functional component design is necessary.
Knowledge of Javascript ES6+ and experience in Redux architecture, including Redux Hooks, is essential.
A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies is expected.
Preferred qualifications include knowledge of Java 11+, Swift 5+, and experience with automated deployment to App Store and Google Play.
Familiarity with immutability patterns, modular coding practices, middleware construction, and libraries like RxJS, Mobx, Redux-Saga, and Redux Toolkit is advantageous.
