Description:

The position is for a Modern Device Engineer specializing in Tanium, Linux, and VMware, and is a remote, contracted role based in Seattle, WA.
The engineer will manage client Linux environments as a Linux administrator.
Responsibilities include enabling and maintaining the Linux environment in Tanium and supporting VMware Aria environments.
The role involves assisting in planning for the migration of the VMware environment to Azure.
The engineer will develop custom Tanium sensors and packages to meet team and customer needs.
Tasks include performing Tanium Administrator duties such as managing RBAC permissions, User Groups, Personas, Content Sets, Computer Groups, and Module Action Groups.
The engineer will create, test, and release new applications, features, and vulnerability mitigation deployments via Tanium Deploy.
They will research and develop solutions for continuous improvement of patch and vulnerability management processes.
The role requires generating endpoint vulnerability analysis reports using Tanium and Defender ATP data and distributing them to appropriate teams.
The engineer will also operationalize newly introduced Tanium modules including Enforce, Reveal, and Performance.

Requirements:

Expertise in Tanium is required to support the Tanium Cloud Platform, client, and module health, with familiarity in modules such as Interact, Asset, Trends, Connect, Deploy, Patch, Impact, Threat Response, Comply, Discover, Reveal, Performance, and Enforce.
Intermediate scripting knowledge of WMI Queries, RegEx, PowerShell, VBScript, and/or Python is a must.
