Description:

  • We are seeking a highly experienced Data Architect with a strong background in designing scalable data solutions and leading data engineering teams.
  • The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, ETL processes, and modern data architecture principles.
  • This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders, engineering teams, and business units to design and implement robust data pipelines and architectures.
  • Responsibilities include assessments of existing data components, performing POCs, and consulting with stakeholders.
  • The candidate will propose end-to-end solutions to enterprise data-specific business problems, managing data collection, extraction, integration, cleansing, enriching, and data visualization.
  • The role requires the ability to design large data platforms to enable Data Engineers, Analysts, and Scientists.
  • Strong exposure to different data architectures, data lakes, and data warehouses is essential.
  • The candidate will design and implement end-to-end data architecture solutions on the Azure cloud platform.
  • Leading the design and development of scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory (ADF) is a key responsibility.
  • The role includes architecting data lakes using Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) and integrating with Azure Synapse Analytics for enterprise-scale analytics.
  • Collaboration with business analysts, data scientists, and engineers to understand data needs and deliver high-performing solutions is required.
  • The candidate will define data models, metadata standards, data quality rules, and security protocols.
  • Defining tools and technologies to develop automated data pipelines, writing ETL processes, developing dashboards and reports, and creating insights is part of the job.
  • Continually reassessing the current state for alignment with architecture goals, best practices, and business needs is necessary.
  • Responsibilities also include database modeling, deciding the best data storage, creating data flow diagrams, and maintaining related documentation.
  • The candidate must ensure performance, reliability, reusability, resilience, scalability, security, privacy, and data governance while designing data architecture.
  • Applying or recommending best practices in architecture, coding, API integration, and CI/CD pipelines is expected.
  • Coordination with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders for data-related needs is essential.
  • The candidate will help the Data Science & Analytics Practice grow by mentoring junior practice members and leading initiatives.
  • Providing thought leadership by representing the Practice/Organization on internal and external platforms is also part of the role.

Requirements:

  • The candidate must have 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles.
  • The ability to translate business requirements into data requests, reports, and dashboards is required.
  • Strong database and modeling concepts with exposure to SQL and NoSQL databases are necessary.
  • Expertise in designing and writing ETL processes in Python/PySpark is essential.
  • The candidate should have strong data architecture patterns and principles, with the ability to design secure and scalable data lakes, data warehouses, data hubs, and other event-driven architectures.
  • Proven expertise in Microsoft Azure data services, especially ADF, ADLS, and Synapse Analytics, is required.
  • Strong hands-on experience in designing and building ETL/ELT pipelines is necessary.
  • Proficiency in data modeling, SQL, and performance tuning is expected.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to manage and mentor technical teams, is required.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar to create meaningful insights is necessary.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Good to have: Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect) and experience with modern data platforms, data governance frameworks, and real-time data processing tools.
