Percona is seeking a MySQL Database Support Engineer for a remote position.

The role involves assisting customers' DBA teams by investigating and analyzing database issues, providing detailed findings, and offering expert assistance through various communication channels.
Responsibilities also include authoring blog posts, answering forum questions, creating knowledge base articles, and hosting webinars.
The position is fully remote, allowing candidates to work from anywhere with a stable internet connection.
Requirements:
Hands-on knowledge of MySQL and InnoDB.
Proficiency with MySQL ecosystem tools and technologies.
Experience in performance tuning, query optimization, and index tuning.
Familiarity with backup solutions like Xtrabackup, mydumper, and Point-in-Time-Recovery.
Exposure to high-availability solutions such as replication, routers, and proxies.
Understanding of monitoring requirements and Linux-based systems administration.
Ability to troubleshoot methodically, apply fixes for errors, and think creatively to resolve complex issues.
Self-motivated to learn new technologies and grow skill sets.
Willingness to travel occasionally for team meetings, conferences, or customer visits.
Experience working with customers in English.
Desirable to have knowledge of Kubernetes.
