Description:
Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking a Microsoft full-stack developer to support a development project on their flagship contract.
The position is 100% remote and requires a Public Trust clearance for US Citizens.
The ideal candidate should have over 6 years of professional experience and a BS in Computer Science or a related field.
The developer will report to the Task Lead and Program Manager, providing regular updates on development.
The role involves using Agile/Scrum methodologies and practices to support the project.
Essential duties include building UI interfaces using .NET to display reports with data stored in SQL Server, meeting with customers to gather and analyze requirements, adhering to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), collaborating with QC Testers to address defects, troubleshooting issues with other developers, and providing weekly project status updates.
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 6-8 years of software development experience using Microsoft technologies, including Visual Studio, C# / VB.net, and SQL Server.
6-8 years of database experience using Microsoft SQL Server and related tools such as SSRS and SSIS is necessary.
Familiarity with git code repository/version control tools is required.
An understanding of Cloud Computing concepts and agile practices is essential.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
Candidates must be US Citizens or authorized to work in the United States.
The ability to obtain and retain a Public Trust clearance is required.
