Remote .NET Software Engineer (Integration project)

Description:

• The position is for a .NET Software Engineer focused on integration projects at interworks.cloud.
• The company helps IT Distributors and Managed Service Providers transform their subscription business through automation.
• The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust API integrations between the Business Support System (BSS) and key vendor platforms.
• Responsibilities include developing and maintaining REST API integrations connecting the SaaS platform with vendor systems.
• The engineer will consume vendor APIs by analyzing documentation and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensuring smooth and reliable data synchronization is a critical part of the job.
• The role requires enhancing existing APIs and integrating new functionalities as vendor offerings evolve.
• The engineer will integrate complex business logic into existing middleware and adapt to evolving vendor features and requirements.
• Writing clean, scalable code using the .NET Framework (currently 4.8, with plans to upgrade) and SQL Server is essential.
• The engineer will also be responsible for testing their code to uphold quality and consistency.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience building and consuming APIs or working on middleware projects.
• The ability to interpret and translate complex business requirements into effective technical solutions is required.
• Proficiency in the .NET Framework (C#) and a solid understanding of object-oriented programming is necessary.
• A working knowledge of SQL Server and experience writing efficient SQL queries is essential.
• A solid understanding of RESTful APIs is required.
• Experience in integrating billing or payment systems and handling synchronization challenges between systems is preferred.
• Candidates should be able to write clean, testable, and scalable code.
• Strong problem-solving skills coupled with a business-oriented mindset are necessary.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional team environment are required.
