Description:
The job role is for a Network Data Engineer.
The position is fully remote and available across the UK.
It is a contract position with a minimum duration of 15 months, with the possibility of extension.
The role requires extensive support for Data Center operations.
Expertise in L2/L3 IP protocols such as HSRP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and VRF is essential.
Candidates should have a strong understanding of a multi-vendor/technology environment, particularly in Viptela SD-WAN, Cisco SD-Access, Cisco DNA, and Cisco ISE.
Deep knowledge of configuration and troubleshooting of IP protocols and hardware platforms is required.
A good understanding of Data Center infrastructure and connectivity for Branch/Headquarters is necessary.
Expertise in routing and switching is crucial.
The candidate should be an expert in troubleshooting network-related issues and have a sound understanding of troubleshooting tools like Wireshark for packet analysis.
Experience in deploying SD-WAN and SD-Access is needed.
Interaction with customers to understand their network and service delivery requirements is a must.
Responsibilities include handling deployment, implementation, and preparing high-level and low-level designs.
The candidate will prepare solution documents and network impact reports.
Candidates with deployment or operational experience in a Data Center environment will have an advantage.
Regular client interaction is required to understand the client's business and coordinate work.
The role involves providing consultation on network design with SD-WAN and SD-Access.
Good knowledge of Software-Defined Access in Cisco-powered Enterprise Campus networks is expected.
Flexibility to support 24/7 is required.
Knowledge of Vulnerability Management and Lifecycle Management is necessary.
The candidate will provide break-fix support for ongoing issues, including P1 and critical incidents.
CCNP-ENCOR certification or CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure certification is required.
Cisco ENSDENG certification is a plus.
