Description:

This position is for a Network Engineer and is remote within the United States.
The role requires general proficiency in AWS services including EC2, S3, EFS, IAM, VPC, SSM, KMS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Route53.
Strong networking skills and knowledge of network-specific cloud infrastructure in AWS are essential.
The candidate should have expertise in Transit Gateway (TGW), Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), VPC Peering, VPC Routing and Subnetting, and BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) for routing across AWS and multi-cloud environments.
Experience with VPC Flow Logs and traffic analysis is required.
The role involves implementing security best practices for networking, including AWS Security Groups, NACLs/ACLs, network segmentation, DDoS protection, firewalls, and ingress/egress VPC management.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for managing AWS networking and security infrastructure is necessary.
Experience with AWS Landing Zone Accelerator (LZA) is preferred.
The candidate should have automation and scripting skills, particularly in Bash and Python, for automating infrastructure and systems management tasks.
Knowledge of cybersecurity and compliance principles, including Zero Trust, IAM best practices, and encryption in transit, is important.
Familiarity with AWS IAM and role-based access control is required.
