Description:

EverOps is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to manage projects autonomously with minimal direction.
The role requires a deep understanding of enterprise IT systems and cloud infrastructure, as well as knowledge of ITIL processes.
The engineer will work remotely from their home office as part of the U.S.-Based Virtual Operating Center.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN) across multiple cloud platforms.
The engineer will configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
Troubleshooting network issues and providing technical support is a key part of the role.
The position involves designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud computing services across platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Ensuring security and compliance of network infrastructure and cloud services is essential.
The engineer will develop and implement disaster recovery plans and perform regular backups.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and security, is necessary to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in networking and at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
In-depth knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing is required.
Strong experience in configuring and maintaining network devices like routers, switches, and firewalls is essential.
Coding experience in Python and YAML is necessary.
Proficiency in cloud services across multiple platforms and cloud management tools (AWS CLI, Azure PowerShell) is required.
Familiarity with security best practices, including access control, encryption, and monitoring, is needed.
Experience with monitoring and alerting tools like Datadog is a must.
Candidates should have experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform or CloudFormation).
A customer-focused approach to managing tickets and tasks is essential.
Leadership skills to guide a team through multiple tasks to timely conclusions are required.
Candidates must demonstrate ownership and a commitment to project success.
Familiarity with on-call responsibilities is necessary.
