Description:

The position is for a Network Platform Development- Technical Lead based in San Jose, CA or available for US remote work.
The role involves bringing up networking ASICs and platforms, writing feature specifications, and implementing improvements and features either individually or as part of a team.
Responsibilities include triaging and resolving internal and customer-found issues, evaluating and integrating third-party libraries, and conducting peer reviews of feature specifications, code, test plans, and other engineering documents.
The candidate will also be responsible for improving the performance and scale of existing features and solutions, assisting with the interview, onboarding, and mentoring of new hires, and collaborating with customer and product teams to understand new requirements.
The role requires planning, scheduling, tracking, and periodically reporting project status all the way to customer delivery.

Requirements:

A BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent degree is required.
The candidate must have the ability to write high-quality code in C, C++, Go, or Python.
A minimum of 8 years of relevant hands-on development experience in networking technologies is required.
The candidate should have a deep understanding of pipeline architecture for various ASIC families, including Broadcom and NVIDIA.
Experience in architecting, designing, and developing AI/ML networking features and data paths for various L3 and overlay technologies is essential.
Knowledge of QoS technologies, L2 technologies, and familiarity with Broadcom SDK, P4, and DPDK is required.
Understanding of Linux OS internals, memory management, network stack, and high availability is necessary.
Experience with Debian build/packaging, Linux kernel, kernel networking stack, containers, and virtual machines is also required.
