Description:
The Mobility House is seeking a Network Security Engineer to support the transition to zero-emission transportation.
The engineer will work with Product, Delivery, and Operations teams to ensure software and hardware compatibility with customer and partner networks.
Responsibilities include diagnosing connectivity issues, optimizing network setups, configuring firewalls, monitoring network performance, and providing network security support.
The role also involves handling pre- and post-sales inquiries and occasional IT support for employees.
The position requires collaboration with various teams and owning the networking expert function for The Mobility House North America.
Requirements:
Proficiency in Network Address Translation (NAT) and firewall technologies.
Experience in setting up and managing DMZ for secure network architecture.
Demonstrated proficiency in debug tools like tcpdump, nmap, iptables, and wireshark.
Experience in debugging traffic between IoT devices and WebSocket connections.
Strong understanding of network configurations and troubleshooting in Linux.
Knowledge of Linux/containers, Cloud PaaS/SaaS architecture, and security/compliance frameworks.
Experience in fielding technical customer questions and solutions.
Knowledge of penetration/vulnerability testing/scanning.
Bonus points:
Background in networking of electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
Past roles as a subject matter expert at an innovative startup.
Experience collaborating with external cybersecurity and IT teams.
Comfortable with OpenVPN technologies.
Certifications such as CompTia Network+ or Security+, CISSP, CCNP.
Experience providing internal IT support.
Ability to travel to the United States.
Strong interest in The Mobility House's mission.
