Description:
We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer to join our team and take charge of securing, monitoring, and maintaining our corporate network infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with firewalls, network security tools, and protocols, ensuring our organization maintains a strong security posture.
This role requires deep technical knowledge, troubleshooting abilities, and collaboration skills to work closely with the Security and IT teams.
You will be responsible for securing networks, identifying potential vulnerabilities, and recommending effective solutions to mitigate risks.
Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network architectures, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and cloud networks.
You will configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls, IPS, IDS, and other network security devices.
The role involves configuring, managing, and troubleshooting web security controls, such as CASB and SWG.
You will monitor security alerts and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
Developing and enforcing network security policies, standards, and best practices is also part of your responsibilities.
You will implement firewall rule sets, access control lists, and policies for intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
Monitoring and scanning our perimeter to identify potential risks is essential.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure secure integration of new applications and services into the network is required.
Staying updated on the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and emerging technologies to proactively mitigate threats is crucial.
Participation in on-call after-hours rotation to provide timely support for security events and incidents is expected.
You will take ownership of tasks, ensuring thorough follow-up and resolution of security requests, changes, and incidents.
Requirements:
Experience in network security engineering or a related field is required.
Proficiency in firewall management and network security protocols is necessary.
Experience with Juniper and Palo Alto firewalls is highly preferred.
You should have experience with capturing, analyzing, and interpreting network packet captures.
Experience with designing, implementing, and troubleshooting site-to-site and client-based VPNs is essential.
A strong understanding of networking concepts, including routing, switching, and NAT, is required.
Experience with dynamic routing protocols is necessary.
Hands-on experience with IDS/IPS, SIEM tools, and network monitoring tools is required.
Knowledge of encryption technologies, authentication protocols, and threat detection methods is essential.
Familiarity with cloud security concepts related to AWS, Azure, and GCP is a plus.
Experience with SD-WAN solutions and cloud network security is preferred.
Familiarity with automation and scripting (Python, Ansible) for network tasks is beneficial.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills are required.
The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is essential.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
A team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments is required.
