Remote Network Security Engineer

Description:

• Deploy and configure production security tools and services to monitor and protect cloud workloads, networks, and endpoints.
• Configure and troubleshoot Datacenter networks.
• Implement and manage VLANs, spanning tree protocols (STP), and virtualization technologies to segment and optimize network traffic.
• Oversee the deployment and maintenance of Aruba switches and access points.
• Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures.
• Participate in the implementation and maintaining of network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, access controls, and encryption, to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Investigate, document, and report on information security issues and emerging trends.
• Conduct regular network performance assessments and implement improvements.
• Collaborate with IT teams to optimize network infrastructure for performance and security.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 4-5 years of experience in network security engineering.
• Previous experience with HPE/Aruba switches.
• Proficiency in network segmentation, network routing, and BGP.
• Proficiency in IPSec, SSL VPN, Sandboxing, Proxy, NAT, syslog, DNS, NAC, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Strong knowledge in networking and in operating systems such as Linux/Unix/Windows.
• Industry-relevant certifications such as CISSP, AWS Security, Azure Security, CompTIA Security+ are Plus.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, or Fortinet NSE are highly desirable.
