Description:

MentorMate is seeking a Network Support Engineer responsible for monitoring network performance, including both transmission and IP, as well as the underlying infrastructure.
The role involves acting on alarms and troubleshooting issues, including incidents reported by customers.
The engineer will collaborate with third-party providers to perform in-depth troubleshooting and coordinate joint efforts to resolve incidents.
Responsibilities include monitoring customer services per platform, conducting troubleshooting, coordinating ongoing planned maintenance, and contributing to the organization's knowledge database.
The position is remote and part of a global technology company, Tietoevry Create, which focuses on digital transformation solutions in the telecommunications sector.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a solid foundation and expertise in operational knowledge on current platforms IP (Cisco, Arista, Juniper), Mobile Data, and Transmission (fiber and xWDM) (Infinera, Ciena).
Strong technical know-how and skills in troubleshooting, including TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, QoS, and DWDM, are required.
Experience working in an international telecom environment, such as NOC or Technical Support, is essential.
The candidate should demonstrate the ability to take on operational leadership, making immediate decisions and executing them effectively.
Strong analytical capabilities and a drive to transform information into fact-based knowledge are necessary.
Exceptional teamwork skills with a strong sense of responsibility and excellent communication skills are required to effectively convey information and collaborate with various stakeholders.
Fluency in professional English and Spanish is mandatory.
