Description:
Oddball is hiring a Node Engineer to work on a pivotal Federal program that positively impacts millions of Americans' daily lives.
The role involves developing AWS Lambda functions to process high volumes of throughput from event-based pipelines.
Daily tasks will include writing code, developing tests, and debugging.
The engineer will provide input on high-level architecture decisions and communicate those decisions to other developers on the team.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience with Node.js and Javascript/Typescript.
Experience with SQL, PostgreSQL, and Redshift is required.
Familiarity with cloud-based, event-driven architecture, including serverless functions (AWS Lambda), event queues (SQS, Kinesis), and containerized server clusters (ECS) is necessary.
A minimum of 3 years of experience working in an Agile software development environment is required.
Candidates should be able to build APIs that support both digital services and third-party usage.
A consultant mindset with effective communication skills for interacting with a multidisciplinary team is essential.
Nice to haves include familiarity with the NestJS framework and experience writing applications in Golang.
