Remote Ops Tools Senior DevOps Engineer

Description:

• This is a contract role with inside IR 35.
• The position is fully remote and based in the UK.
• The role involves working with platforms such as BTP, Gardner, and IAS as a Development Engineer.

Requirements:

• A university degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is required.
• Candidates must have 6+ years of technical professional experience.
• In-depth knowledge of hyperscalers like AWS is required.
• Expertise in SAP Converged Cloud (Open Stack) is a major plus.
• A strong understanding of deployment automation and tools such as Ansible and Chef is necessary.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform, is required.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, with a preference for ArgoCD, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins, is essential.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and CloudWatch is required.
• Logging experience with tools like Splunk, Elasticsearch, or Logstash is necessary.
• Knowledge of cloud networking tools, particularly AWS VPCs, VNet, or Google VPC, is preferred.
• In-depth experience in deploying and managing Cloud-native applications using container orchestration tools like Gardener, Kubernetes, or Docker is required.
• Familiarity with Helm charts and repository management tools such as Artifactory or JFrog is necessary.
• Experience with service management tools like Consul or Zookeeper is preferred.
• Familiarity with GitLab and/or GitHub is required.
• A scripting background in PowerShell or Python is preferred.
• Knowledge of security best practices, including hardened containers and images (STIG), is necessary.
• Experience with security tools such as Hashicorp Vault or GitHub Secrets is preferred.
• Database knowledge, particularly with SAP HANA, is required.
• Expertise with operating systems, especially Linux and RHEL, is necessary.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are required.
• Knowledge of SAP and the SAP solution portfolio is a plus.
