Description:
The position is for an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) DevSecOps Administrator at Accenture Federal Services, located in Arlington, VA, with remote work options.
Responsibilities include provisioning, configuring, and managing virtual machines, storage volumes, networking resources, and other infrastructure components within OCI environments.
The role involves setting up and configuring OCI tenancies, compartments, and policies to meet security, compliance, and resource isolation requirements.
The administrator will implement and manage security controls, IAM policies, encryption, and network security groups to protect OCI resources.
Monitoring the health, performance, and utilization of OCI resources using built-in and third-party tools is required, along with configuring alerts for proactive issue identification.
The role includes developing and implementing backup and disaster recovery strategies for OCI environments to ensure business continuity.
Responsibilities also encompass planning and executing patch management and upgrades for OCI services while minimizing downtime.
The administrator will automate routine tasks and workflows using OCI APIs, CLI tools, and IaC techniques to enhance operational efficiency.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including developers and security specialists, is essential to support application development and compliance efforts.
Maintaining accurate documentation of OCI configurations, procedures, and best practices is also part of the job.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a cloud administrator or in a similar role, with hands-on experience in managing infrastructure within OCI environments is required.
Proficiency in provisioning and managing compute instances, block storage, object storage, virtual networks, and IAM services within OCI is necessary.
A strong understanding of cloud networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, route tables, and security groups is essential, along with familiarity with cloud-native services like Oracle Autonomous Database and Oracle Container Engine for Kubernetes.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell and automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, and GitLab for infrastructure automation is required.
Candidates must possess one or more certifications such as CompTIA Security+, A+, Network+, Cloud+, Pentest+, CySA+, or CASP+, along with either Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Certified Architect Professional or Associate, or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) within 6 months of employment.
US Citizenship is required, and candidates must have a Secret clearance or be clearable to DoD Tier 5.
