Description:

  • IDT Corporation is seeking an Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join their development team.
  • The position is remote and open to candidates from various Latin American countries including Brazil, Santiago, Lima, Caracas, Sucre, Bogotรก, Quito, Asunciรณn, Uruguay, San Josรฉ, Panama, and Mexico.
  • The role involves performing analysis, design, programming, and testing to support strategic projects related to organizational planning and expansion.
  • The individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and troubleshooting Oracle applications using PL/SQL.
  • Responsibilities include learning and taking ownership of existing database application code, interacting with business users to understand requirements, and modernizing PL/SQL development practices with Git and Liquibase.
  • The candidate must be able to create, modify, and troubleshoot Oracle PL/SQL, identify high-level system impacts, provide technical estimates for projects, and perform thorough unit testing.
  • The role requires managing multiple tasks with attention to detail and responsiveness.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have strong Oracle application development skills using PL/SQL.
  • Exposure to performance tuning and SQL tuning of large database environments is required.
  • Experience with Oracle versions 10g, 11g, and 12c is necessary.
  • The ability to confidently and clearly interact with business users in English is essential.
  • Projects must demonstrate high standards of readability, consistency, adherence to standards, and performance.
  • Understanding of data warehousing and reporting is considered a plus.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases is also a plus.
  • The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 4+ years of in-depth experience in developing Oracle applications utilizing Oracle 10g/11g/12c and PL/SQL.
  • Experience managing Oracle code using Git and Liquibase is preferred.
  • A proven track record of effectively delivering results in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities is a must.
  • Knowledge of Oracle development best practices is required.
  • Candidates should be self-starters and able to work under minimal supervision.
