Clearer.io is seeking a PHP Software Engineer II to join their remote team in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.

As a Software Engineer II, you will lead the design and development of complex features for a cloud-based SaaS platform.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and maintaining features using PHP and related technologies.
You will take ownership of medium to large-sized features from design to deployment and monitoring.
The role involves providing technical leadership to junior engineers, collaborating with product managers, and troubleshooting production issues.
You will also contribute to the selection of new technologies and stay updated with industry best practices.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent, along with 2-4 years of relevant experience is required.
Experience in e-commerce, particularly with Shopify, is a plus.
Strong expertise in programming principles and design patterns is necessary.
Proficiency in PHP and experience with frameworks like Laravel or Symfony is required.
Experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL is a plus.
A strong understanding of relational databases and experience with database optimization is required.
Familiarity with frontend technologies and modern frameworks is a plus.
Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms is necessary.
Proven experience leading development teams in an Agile environment is required.
Proficiency in English and experience with security best practices for web applications is necessary.
