Description:

• Portainer is seeking a Platform Engineer with expertise in Kubernetes/Swarm administration, troubleshooting, and platform engineering.
• The role involves managing large-scale Kubernetes environments, implementing updates, and ensuring platform reliability and scalability.
• Responsibilities include maintaining platform solutions, conducting operational onboarding, and providing DevOps and SRE support.
• The Platform Engineer will develop automations, assist in disaster recovery planning, and offer 24/7 emergency engineering support.
• The position requires participation in an on-call rotation and working primarily within the CST time zone.

Requirements:

• 6 years of IT and platform engineering experience, with 4 years specifically managing Kubernetes environments.
• Experience with Docker Swarm is advantageous, along with knowledge of cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, monitoring tools, scripting, CI/CD pipelines, and virtualization technologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills, excellent English communication, and the ability to work independently and in a remote team.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and cultural awareness are essential, as well as the willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
