Mondoo is creating a new way to help companies keep their users and data safe from hackers around the world.
The Platform Engineer will have a direct impact on the Mondoo Platform, including the policy engine, resources, scale, and multi-region functionality.
This role involves assessing, scoping, prioritizing, triaging, and remediating security findings.
The position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and gain hands-on experience in "policy as code" frameworks.
Responsibilities include building, managing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
The engineer will automate system configurations using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
Collaboration with teams is essential to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines.
The role includes gaining experience with policy as code frameworks such as Open Policy Agent and HashiCorp Sentinel.
The engineer will assist in translating high-level security requirements into practical policy as code implementations within cloud and on-premises environments.
Support will be provided for the implementation and scaling of automated security controls in Kubernetes, cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), and operating systems.
Staying updated on infrastructure management and automation trends is crucial for ensuring a robust and scalable system foundation.

Requirements:

Strong hands-on experience with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation is required.
Proficiency in configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef is necessary.
A solid understanding of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and its core services is essential.
Experience with container technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is required.
Candidates must be comfortable scripting in at least one language (e.g., Python, Bash, or similar).
Knowledge of networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, etc.) is necessary.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) is required.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are essential for this role.
