Remote Platform Ops Engineer

Description:

• Madhive is seeking a Platform Ops Engineer to join their team.
• The successful candidate will work with a team of cloud engineers to enhance the reliability and stability of services primarily in Google Cloud.
• Responsibilities include implementing best practices for infrastructure as code, improving efficiencies in the Software Development Lifecycle through continuous integration and deployment, and managing a cost-efficient cloud platform.
• The role involves collaborating with security teams to implement security best practices and working with a cross-functional guild to maintain operational standards and reduce operational risk.
• The Platform Ops Engineer will stay updated on the latest cloud technologies and focus on reducing friction in software delivery within Google Cloud.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, containerization, and cloud computing concepts, preferably on GCP.
• Experience automating infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly with Terraform.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Google Monitoring Suite, AppDynamics, Datadog, New Relic, Grafana, etc.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and experience in building large-scale platforms, solving scalability, reliability, observability, validation, and cost efficiency challenges.
• Hands-on experience with cloud architecture design, scale, performance tuning, Containerization, and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in designing and conducting experiments, influencing engineering decisions, and shaping product roadmaps.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Coding experience in Go, Bash (preferred), Python, and Javascript (nice to have).
• Previous experience in Adtech is not required.
