Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related work experience is required.
  • Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering or Platform Engineering role.
  • Understanding of site reliability engineering principles and experience fostering a DevOps culture is essential.
  • Strong command of Terraform and experience implementing GitOps practices is necessary.
  • A thorough understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and familiarity with other major cloud providers is advantageous.
  • Proficiency with Kubernetes, Istio, Helm, Kong API gateway, and building CI/CD pipelines is required.
  • Competence in utilizing observability tools such as Prometheus, Mimir, Grafana, Loki, and Tempo is needed.
  • Familiarity with data engineering tools like Apache Airflow and Apache Spark is beneficial.
  • Confidence in software engineering, particularly in Python and/or Go, is expected.
  • Experience in designing, maintaining, and operating microservice architectures is required.
  • A systematic problem-solving approach, effective communication skills, and a proactive demeanor are essential.
  • Candidates should be adept at collaborating within distributed teams and communicating asynchronously.
  • An appetite for continuous learning and a proactive attitude towards acquiring new knowledge and skills is important.
