As a Platform Software Engineer on the Hivemind Forge team, you will shape the infrastructure and tools for advanced autonomy systems.
You will design intuitive web applications, robust APIs, and developer-friendly SDKs to empower autonomy engineers.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing robust data models and database architectures, developing scalable backend services and APIs, and building systems for virtualization, containerization, and orchestration.
You will architect and deploy resilient infrastructure for managing high-throughput data pipelines and complex simulation workloads.
The role involves designing networked systems, integrating advanced protocols and middleware, and contributing to tools for secure deployment of Forge on varied hardware platforms.
You will also create and maintain clear documentation for internal and external users of Forge’s platform capabilities.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 8-15+ years of experience designing and delivering production-grade, scalable software systems.
Advanced proficiency in Golang and Python for systems programming and backend development is required.
A minimum of 3 years of experience with cloud computing platforms, container orchestration, and virtualization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, VMware) is necessary.
Expertise in designing and optimizing relational databases, data models, and high-throughput pipelines is essential.
A strong understanding of network protocols (e.g., UDP, TCP) and hands-on experience with building distributed networked applications is required.
Familiarity with systems programming concepts such as concurrency, performance optimization, and resource management is expected.
Experience deploying secure, reliable infrastructure in hybrid cloud and on-premises environments is necessary.
A BS/MS in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
Proven ability to work collaboratively, mentor team members, and deliver results in fast-paced, mission-driven environments is essential.

The salary range for this position is $155,000 - $312,000 a year, with additional compensation including bonuses, benefits, and equity for regular employee positions.
Temporary employee positions offer hourly pay within the listed range and a temporary benefits package after 60 days of employment.
International positions may include additional benefits such as international premium, hardship differential, cost of living differential, living quarters allowance, foreign service transfer allowance, equity, international benefits, visa assistance, and relocation assistance.
Salary compensation is influenced by various factors including skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location.
