Description:

  • Augmenta is seeking a Platform Tech Lead to join their remote team, which focuses on creating software for the construction industry that automates building design.
  • The role involves leading the backend development team, designing and implementing scalable and robust backend systems, and ensuring seamless integration of AWS services.
  • Key responsibilities include leading the backend team in developing and maintaining backend services and APIs, architecting scalable systems using AWS, managing Kubernetes clusters, and developing services using Golang.
  • The Platform Tech Lead will implement authorization mechanisms, design multi-tenancy solutions, collaborate with stakeholders, ensure best practices in code quality, mentor junior developers, and monitor system performance.
  • The position reports to the VP of Engineering and requires staying updated with industry trends and AWS services.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Candidates must have extensive experience in backend development, particularly with AWS services.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture is necessary.
  • Extensive experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration is required.
  • A solid understanding of authorization mechanisms, multi-tenancy architecture, and database design (both SQL and NoSQL) is essential.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is required.
  • Candidates should possess excellent problem-solving skills, strong leadership and communication skills, and proficiency in Golang.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer certification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards are also required.
