Description:

  • MentorMate is seeking an experienced PL/SQL Developer to work remotely in Paraguay.
  • The role involves developing, optimizing, and maintaining complex database solutions using SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, and Unix Shell (Perl or Python).
  • Responsibilities include developing, testing, and maintaining PL/SQL code for database applications, optimizing code for performance, and collaborating with application developers to design and implement database solutions.
  • The developer will create and maintain documentation for database processes, troubleshoot database-related issues, ensure data integrity and security, and participate in code reviews.
  • The position requires working in an Agile environment, following Scrum and SDLC methodologies.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 4+ years of experience working with Oracle PL/SQL.
  • A strong working knowledge of SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, and Unix Shell (Perl or Python) is required.
  • Extensive proficiency in modern RDBMS products, particularly Oracle (latest version), is essential, with PostgreSQL being a major plus.
  • Experience in developing complex database objects such as Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, and Triggers using SQL and PL/SQL is necessary.
  • Proficiency in using Standard Oracle Packages, Dynamic SQL, Records, Arrays, PL/SQL tables, and File handling is required.
  • Knowledge in SQL and PL/SQL Performance Tuning, query rewriting, and using Explain Plan and Hints is expected.
  • Candidates should have expertise in Collections, Exception Handling, Partitioning techniques, BULK features, Analytics functions, and External tables.
  • Solid experience with UNIX/Linux platforms and sufficient command knowledge is needed.
  • Agile working experience with Scrum and SDLC methodologies, along with familiarity with Atlassian products such as JIRA, Confluence, and BitBucket, is required.
  • Thorough working experience with DevOps, UC4, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD is necessary.
  • Proficiency in utilizing object-oriented analysis and design principles is expected.
  • In-depth knowledge of software methodologies, distributed networking, databases, communications, and multiprocessing applications is required.
