Remote PL/SQL Developer Remote

Description:

• The position is for a PL/SQL Developer working remotely for a duration of 24 months.
• The developer will assist with customer projects and is expected to have familiarity with Oracle, preferably Oracle 19.
• The role involves working closely with a team of 8-15 people responsible for enhancing, evolving, and supporting a large, highly available Electricity Market Management System (MMS).
• The team consists of power systems, database, software, and optimization engineers.
• As a Senior Database Developer, the individual will contribute to and lead advanced development in MMS Application software design, development, testing, integration, and tuning to meet project and/or product commitments.
• The main deliverable of the projects is a customized system based on the organization's next-generation Market System, which is a cloud-based solution hosting multi-state wholesale energy markets.
• End user customers include Electric Utilities, Independent System Operators (ISOs), and Transmission System Operators (TSOs), which are crucial for decarbonizing the power system while ensuring reliability and increasing the use of Solar, Wind, and Storage technologies.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) from an accredited university or college is required.
• A minimum of eight years of experience in Oracle 19 development in an on-prem or cloud-based enterprise environment is necessary.
• Hands-on experience with PL/SQL development, including triggers, types, procedures, and functions, is required.
• The candidate must be an expert in writing and modifying extremely complex SQL queries.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle Advanced Queues and Oracle Job Scheduler is essential.
• The candidate should have a strong understanding of programming changes needed for RAC vs non-RAC implementations.
• Prior work experience in an agile environment and experience with DevOps is required.
• Experience with 'Security by Design' and the 10 security principles is necessary.
