Remote Power BI Developer

Description:

• The Power BI Developer will design and develop interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports using Power BI to support business objectives.
• The role involves creating and optimizing data models to ensure performance and usability in Power BI reports.
• The developer will connect Power BI to various data sources, including SQL Server, Excel, cloud services, and other databases.
• Collaboration with stakeholders is essential to gather requirements, understand business processes, and define KPIs to ensure dashboards meet user needs.
• The position requires implementing best practices for Power BI development, including performance tuning of reports and queries.
• Ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security in Power BI solutions by adhering to organizational data governance standards is a key responsibility.
• The developer will provide training and support to end-users to enhance their understanding and effective use of Power BI tools.
• Maintaining clear documentation of Power BI solutions, including data models, report designs, and user guides is necessary.
• Staying updated with Power BI features and updates to propose innovative ways of leveraging the tool for enhanced analytics is also part of the job.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field is required.
• The candidate must have 3+ years of experience in BI development, data analysis, or related roles.
• Proven expertise in Microsoft Power BI, including DAX and Power Query, is essential.
• Experience with SQL and relational database concepts is required.
• A strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices is necessary.
• Proficiency in creating and optimizing data models for BI tools is expected.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and tools is required.
• The ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions is essential.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary for this role.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required.
• Familiarity with other Microsoft tools like Excel, Azure, or Power Platform is a plus.
