Description:

TrueTandem is seeking a Power BI developer to join their team in the Washington, DC Metro Area or remotely.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions.
Key responsibilities include translating business needs to technical specifications, designing, building, and deploying Microsoft Power BI interactive and paginated reports, and semantic models.
The developer will evaluate, maintain, support, and improve existing Power BI reports and models.
Conducting integration testing and troubleshooting is also part of the role.
Collaboration with teams to integrate systems is essential.
The developer will develop and execute data queries and conduct analyses.
Creating visualizations and reports for requested projects and developing and updating technical documentation are required tasks.

Requirements:

Candidates must be US Citizens with Secret clearance.
Proven experience as a Microsoft Power BI Developer or Data Engineer is required.
Familiarity with dimensional modeling is necessary.
Understanding of database management systems, ETL frameworks, and SQL language is essential.
Experience creating interactive reports and dashboards in Microsoft Power BI using standard visuals is required.
Experience creating paginated reports in Microsoft Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), or similar report frameworks is necessary.
Candidates should have experience manipulating and cleaning data using Transform Data and Power Query M query formula language.
Comfort in writing simple DAX expressions to build measures and calculated columns is required.
Familiarity with Dynamics 365 & Dataverse, Azure Synapse Link for Dataverse, and Microsoft Azure is preferred.
Familiarity with source control and deployment pipelines is necessary.
Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative are essential.
Candidates must demonstrate attention to detail and produce high-quality, accurate reports from high-level requirements.
An analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude is required.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary.
Certification as Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate is a plus.
