Description:

  • The Power BI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to business stakeholders.
  • This role involves transforming raw data into meaningful information while ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • The developer will collaborate with various teams to understand their data requirements.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest Power BI features and best practices to continuously enhance reporting capabilities is expected.
  • Key accountabilities include designing and maintaining complex Power BI dashboards and reports, leveraging advanced features such as DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
  • The developer will build and optimize data models within the Power BI semantic layer to ensure performance and scalability.
  • They will work closely with business stakeholders to translate their data requirements into effective visualizations and reports.
  • Developing and implementing data governance and security measures within Power BI is part of the role.
  • The developer will administer Power BI workspaces and manage user access.
  • Utilizing the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem for data integration, transformation, and warehousing is required.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving performance issues and data discrepancies will be part of the responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
  • The candidate must have 5+ years of proven experience as a Power BI Developer.
  • A deep understanding of data modeling concepts and semantic layer design is necessary.
  • Extensive experience with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and DAX is required.
  • Strong skills in data transformation and cleansing using Power Query are essential.
  • Hands-on experience with the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem, including Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Data Lake, is needed.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices is important.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are necessary for this position.
