Description:
The Power BI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to business stakeholders.
This role involves transforming raw data into meaningful information while ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
The developer will collaborate with various teams to understand their data requirements.
Staying up-to-date with the latest Power BI features and best practices to continuously enhance reporting capabilities is expected.
Key accountabilities include designing and maintaining complex Power BI dashboards and reports, leveraging advanced features such as DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
The developer will build and optimize data models within the Power BI semantic layer to ensure performance and scalability.
They will work closely with business stakeholders to translate their data requirements into effective visualizations and reports.
Developing and implementing data governance and security measures within Power BI is part of the role.
The developer will administer Power BI workspaces and manage user access.
Utilizing the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem for data integration, transformation, and warehousing is required.
Troubleshooting and resolving performance issues and data discrepancies will be part of the responsibilities.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
The candidate must have 5+ years of proven experience as a Power BI Developer.
A deep understanding of data modeling concepts and semantic layer design is necessary.
Extensive experience with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and DAX is required.
Strong skills in data transformation and cleansing using Power Query are essential.
Hands-on experience with the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem, including Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Data Lake, is needed.
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices is important.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are necessary for this position.
