Remote Power BI Engineer (ESOM - HSR)

Description:

• IT Concepts, Inc. (ITC) is seeking an experienced Power BI Engineer to support the VA-ESOM - End Point Support and Operations Monitoring contract across the United States.
• The role involves translating complex data into actionable insights and creating visually engaging reports and dashboards using Power BI.
• Responsibilities include data modeling, DAX, and data transformation from multiple sources to create robust data models.
• The engineer will employ a user-centric design methodology to develop and automate dashboards for VA senior leadership, ensuring real-time data for informed decision-making.
• Collaboration with the team is essential to ensure accessibility for all users, developing front-end functions that work seamlessly across various platforms and devices.
• The role also includes data testing and quality control to ensure the accuracy and reliability of reports and dashboards.
• The position is remote and supports Eastern Time working hours.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is required, along with 8+ years of experience.
• Candidates must be US Citizens or Green Card holders.
• Proven experience as a Power BI Developer with a strong track record of translating complex data into actionable insights is essential.
• Proficiency in data modeling, DAX, and data transformation from multiple sources is required.
• Candidates should be skilled in creating visually engaging and interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI, with an understanding of user-centric design principles.
• Experience in data testing and quality control to ensure data accuracy and reliability is necessary.
• Familiarity with an object-oriented language (e.g., Java, C++, or C#) and scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python) is required.
