Description:

IT Concepts is seeking a Power BI Engineer for the VA End Point Support and Operations Monitoring contract – Software Asset Management (SAM) Team.
The role requires extensive functional and technical knowledge of specialized applications and operational environments.
Responsibilities include providing subject matter expertise on data analysis, translating functional requirements into actionable data insights, and identifying data needs and gaps.
The engineer will participate in project teams, develop data reporting using R, SQL, Power BI, and Power Apps, and prepare data reports and briefings.
The position involves creating standard and ad-hoc data analysis, ensuring data quality and compliance, and collaborating with other business operations functions.
The role can be performed remotely, supporting Eastern Time working hours, and is expected to last for 10 months.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or equivalent is required; 8 years of additional relevant experience may substitute for education.
Candidates must have 5 years of experience with data analysis and querying programs such as R, SQL, and Power BI.
Experience with Power BI reporting using data from ServiceNow or similar IT Service Management is necessary.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access) is required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to present technical and non-technical information clearly.
Candidates should have the ability to follow policies and procedures and address sensitive situations positively.
Preferred qualifications include experience supporting a federal client, knowledge of ServiceNow reporting, Power Apps, Jira, SharePoint Development, and data warehousing.
Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance and must be U.S. Citizens or Green Card Holders.
