Description:
The SDK Engineering team at Taller is on a mission to revolutionize online payments by enabling merchants worldwide to seamlessly accept payments through their mobile applications and websites.
The focus is on developers and their needs, striving to deliver a best-in-class developer experience.
The role involves developing and enabling new payment methods and features for the Web SDK.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining a robust Web SDK that meets the needs of developers and merchants.
The engineer will collaborate with stakeholders across the company to create simple, effective Web SDKs that enhance user experience.
The position requires partnering closely with cross-functional teams, such as Venmo, in design and product development to ensure alignment on goals and deliverables.
The engineer will provide constructive feedback on code and actively contribute to architecture discussions to improve system design.
Engaging with internal and external developers to understand their pain points and identify ways to enhance the developer experience is essential.
The role includes actively contributing to open-source projects and sharing knowledge and resources with the developer community.
Staying up-to-date with industry trends and technologies and applying new knowledge to enhance products is expected.
Participation in daily stand-ups and retrospectives to discuss successes and areas for improvement is required.
The engineer will foster a culture of collaboration by pair programming and engaging in asynchronous communication.
Requirements:
Proficiency in building applications using JavaScript, NodeJS, and TypeScript is required.
Experience in developing developer-facing products such as SDKs, REST APIs, or GraphQL is a plus.
Familiarity with modern web technologies (HTML5, CSS3) and frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js) is necessary.
An understanding of version control systems, particularly Git, is required.
Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest and Mocha is essential.
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on user experience are needed.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
The ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment is essential.
An eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements is necessary.
Previous experience in a software engineering role focused on web development is required.
Familiarity with agile methodologies and practices is necessary.
Experience working in open-source projects or communities is highly desirable.
