Description:
This is a solutions pre-sales role that emphasizes consultative engagements with various customer stakeholders, including Business Owners, Business Analytics, Data Engineering teams, Application Development, End Users, and Management teams.
Successful candidates will be skilled at promoting the Rackspace Data Services value proposition across Professional Services and Managed Services, aligning it with each customer's unique challenges and articulating the business benefits.
A key aspect of the role involves engaging with customers early in their transformation journey to establish Rackspace as a partner capable of assessing, planning, and executing necessary data transformations or modernization.
Responsibilities include selling and positioning implementation and advisory services, understanding client needs, and advising on strategic services.
The role requires client-facing sales support, building trusted advisor relationships, and developing high-level designs and architectures to address client business problems.
Candidates will create proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs), business cases, and responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
The position involves sales planning, partner relationship management, contributing to intellectual property development, and managing administrative overhead.
Candidates are expected to develop and execute a professional training plan to enhance their skills and contribute to sales process improvement.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 8 to 11 years of experience in the relevant field.
Experience with both traditional and modern Machine Learning/Statistical techniques, including Regression, Classification, Ensemble Methods, and Deep Learning is required.
Strong communication skills are necessary to convey complex models and analyses clearly, along with actionable conclusions and recommendations.
Hands-on experience with Python, PySpark, SQL, and the ability to write reusable and efficient code for automating machine learning pipelines and data processes is essential.
Familiarity with deep learning libraries such as TensorFlow and/or PyTorch, as well as experience with Spark and/or Hadoop, is required.
Candidates should possess strong knowledge of Statistics, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Natural Language Processing/Understanding (NLP/NLU).
A strong engineering mindset and exposure to software engineering principles and Agile methodologies are necessary.
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a data scientist with applied industry experience in NLP/NLU, Forecasting, and Anomaly detection solution development is required.
Candidates must be highly motivated self-starters and team players with a proven track record of success in previous roles.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, presentation, and whiteboarding skills are essential.
Candidates should have a strong understanding of technology and industry trends affecting data analytics decisions for enterprise organizations.
Fluency in both Spanish and English is required, as interviews will be conducted in English.
The role can be performed remotely in specific states in Mexico, including Ciudad de Mexico, Jalisco, Nuevo Leon, Aguascalientes, Queretaro, Estado de Mexico, and Puebla.
