Remote Principal Application Security Consultant

Description:

• The Principal Application Security Consultant will guide clients in developing scalable frameworks and strategic plans for secure coding initiatives.
• This role involves conducting high-level AppSec assessments and providing recommendations for developer training curriculum and policies.
• The consultant will act as a trusted advisor to AppSec and other client stakeholders, helping them align with executives and secure buy-in for their secure coding program goals.
• The position requires assisting executives in defining meaningful program metrics and equipping their teams with frameworks to measure and communicate the ROI of their secure coding programs.
• Collaboration with Senior Consultants and Cyber Awareness Experts is essential to provide clients with comprehensive strategic and technical guidance.
• The consultant must stay informed on AppSec trends and adapt recommendations based on the latest industry insights and client feedback.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a minimum of 10+ years of experience as a consultant or practitioner in the AppSec or Cyber Space with medium to large enterprises.
• Extensive experience in rolling out AppSec or DevSecOps tools and processes such as SAST, SCA, Threat Modelling, and Developer Training is required.
• Direct experience in managing or overseeing the rollout of developer training is necessary.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, including the ability to think quickly when faced with challenging questions in a sales environment.
• Candidates should possess strong client-facing skills, including experience in meeting and presenting to clients at similar types and levels of contact.
• Effective and clear communication skills, both written and verbal, are required for presenting to a variety of audiences.
