Description:

Grafana Cloud is a composable observability platform that integrates visualizations on metrics, logs, and traces with Grafana.
The Grafana team is responsible for the open-source project Grafana and the Grafana Enterprise offering.
The role involves transforming Grafana's core architecture to be fully multi-tenant and scalable.
The position requires a principal level engineer with a distributed systems background to drive innovations and enhance the app platform.
Responsibilities include influencing the roadmap, delivering new features, driving innovations from ideation to operations, and contributing to open-source projects.
The engineer will design, build, operate, and maintain critical systems, ensuring reliability, performance, and availability.
Participation in on-call rotations and mentoring team members is expected.
The company is remote-first, requiring good communication skills and an independent attitude.

Requirements:

Candidates must have solid experience with at least one programming language, preferably Go, but familiarity with Python, C, C++, or Rust is acceptable.
Experience in delivering projects from requirements gathering to product shipping in a self-driven manner is required.
Candidates should have solid experience in developing software that runs in the Cloud or some experience in systems engineering.
Experience in writing clean, robust, and performant software that is easily maintained by others is necessary.
Nice to haves include experience with Kubernetes, operational use of Grafana and Prometheus, exposure to microservices architecture, and familiarity with on-call operations or infrastructure as code.

The base compensation range for this role in Spain is €100,556 - €125,695, with actual compensation varying based on level, experience, and skillset.
