The Principal Backend Engineer will be responsible for developing cutting-edge solutions where milliseconds matter, focusing on best availability, lowest possible latency, and efficient resource usage.
The role is located in the EMEA region only, and the company does not provide visa sponsorship or hire for roles based in the United States.
The position requires a product-passionate individual with a keen mind for solving deep tech engineering problems and a fast "PoC first" approach.

Requirements:

A degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript is essential.
A background in Java, C#, or Go is considered a plus.
Strong understanding of asynchronous programming techniques is necessary.
Experience with distributed systems and messaging systems is required.
Knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL), columnar databases (Redshift, ClickHouse), and NoSQL technologies (DynamoDB, MongoDB) is needed.
Skills in developing and maintaining end-to-end and unit tests are required.
A proven track record of developing production-ready solutions is essential.
Preferred qualifications include experience with large-scale microservices architecture, familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, GCP), knowledge of Kubernetes, and understanding of application security and industry best practices.
