Remote Principal Business Intelligence Engineer

Description:

• Design, develop, and optimize data-driven dashboards and reports for the SaaS platform, collaborating with department heads to identify key metrics and KPIs.
• Lead the architecture and design of cloud-based data solutions, define development standards, conduct code reviews, and support engineering teams in solving technical challenges.
• Administer and optimize high-availability cloud databases, manage data pipelines, backups, and business continuity plans.
• Mentor junior team members, conduct training sessions on BI tools and best practices.
• Work closely with product, marketing, sales, and finance teams to understand their data needs and provide actionable BI solutions.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of technical experience in a business intelligence role within a SaaS environment.
• Undergraduate degree.
• Expertise in data warehousing, data lakes, and data marts.
• Proficiency with ETL tools like Oracle GoldenGate and cloud databases such as Oracle ATP/ADW.
• Skilled in data visualization using OpenText Magellan, Tableau, and PowerBI.
• Experience in performance tuning, NoSQL databases, and advanced SQL programming.
• Ability to lead projects from conception to delivery, excellent communication skills for presenting complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated independence and collaboration in a small, dynamic team setting.
