Description:

• Articul8 AI is seeking an experienced cloud engineer with expertise in the strategy, design, development, and implementation of large-scale projects in the cloud.
• The ideal candidate will have a firm grasp of Gen AI/ML technologies, cloud platforms, and applications, and the ability to customize them for enhanced security and efficiency.
• Responsibilities include serving as a technical lead, architecting and designing complex cloud-native and cloud-agnostic infrastructure for the enterprise GenAI platform.
• The role involves collaboration with product managers, applied research, customer success, and technology teams for roadmap planning and technology evaluations.
• The candidate should be passionate about data and cloud infrastructure challenges at scale, and be a hands-on engineer delivering innovative solutions.
• Mentoring and developing engineers, defining and growing the technical culture, and assisting in attracting and retaining engineering talent are key aspects of the role.
• The position requires rotating responsibilities for on-call support when necessary.
• The engineer will develop and implement technical efforts to design, build, and deploy applications on AWS (GCP or Azure), including large-scale data processing and statistical modeling.
• Participation in all aspects of the software development lifecycle for cloud solutions is expected, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance.
• Troubleshooting incidents, identifying root causes, fixing problems, and implementing preventive measures are essential tasks.
• Educating teams on new cloud-based initiatives and providing training when necessary is also part of the role.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills are required to address issues proactively before they affect business productivity.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
• A proven track record as a technical leader in developing scalable, maintainable, and high-performance cloud-native applications is essential.
• The candidate must have eight or more years of experience in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on any cloud platform (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Understanding of and experience with the five pillars of a well-architected framework is necessary.
• Experience in areas such as database architecture, ETL, artificial intelligence, big data, and machine learning is required.
• Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including product managers, software developers, applied researchers, data scientists, and subject-matter experts is essential.
• Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, information technology, or mathematics, knowledge of web services, API, REST, and RPC, and AWS (or GCP/Azure) certification.
• Exceptional problem-solving ability and attention to detail, adaptability to a fast-paced startup environment, and strong communication skills for effective team collaboration are required.
• Willingness to support customer deployments and participate in the incident management process is necessary.
