Description:
The Principal Cyber Security Consultant at BlueVoyant leads and manages Cyber Security Consultants within the Professional Services team.
This role serves as the primary subject matter expert and technical authority in advising, supporting, and managing clients and the team across various activities.
Responsibilities include overseeing technical and organizational security controls, cyber and digital transformation activities, and remediation workstreams and roadmaps.
The consultant will implement policies and processes, conduct Information Security Maturity Audits/CMMI, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and legislation.
They will build and implement governance and risk management processes, design, implement, and test security tooling, and develop BC/DR and incident response capabilities.
The role also involves managing supply chain risk, leading and mentoring consultants, and ensuring quality control and quality assurance in report writing.
The Principal Consultant will contribute to employee training and development, support business development, and act as a consulting SME advisor to senior stakeholders.
They must possess significant credibility and experience, with the ability to lead and mentor others in fundamental skill sets.
The consultant will work with security tools to protect client organizations against various threats, including nation states and Advanced Persistent Threat groups.
They must effectively communicate risk, threats, and treatment options to all stakeholder levels within client organizations.
The role requires proactive management and problem-solving across the client project portfolio, with the ability to escalate risks or issues to director level promptly.
The Principal Consultant will integrate activities with BlueVoyant colleagues globally, particularly in Digital Forensics, Incident Response, and Penetration Testing.
They will inform and influence senior client decision-making and assist in managing significant security breaches.
Requirements:
Candidates must have significant experience and credibility in cyber security consulting and management.
A deep understanding of security tools and capabilities is essential to protect client organizations.
The ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels is required.
Candidates should demonstrate leadership skills and the ability to mentor and develop a team of consultants.
A proactive approach to managing and solving problems across client projects is necessary.
Experience in overseeing complex cyber-security and technology transformation programs is required.
Candidates must be able to educate others on integrating activities with various BlueVoyant service offerings.
A strong understanding of compliance with regulations and industry standards is essential.
The ability to support business development efforts and respond to client RFPs is required.
Candidates must comply with applicable legislation, codes of conduct, and company policies.
