Description:
Udacity is seeking a Principal Data Analyst to join their business analytics group and help advance the company's mission of talent transformation in digital technologies.
The role involves reporting to the Director of Data and analyzing product and content data to align learning experiences with industry needs.
The Principal Data Analyst will serve as the go-to expert for skills-focused data insights, leading cross-functional projects and managing workflows across teams.
Responsibilities include defining key metrics, providing analytical insights, conducting proactive analysis, and translating business questions into actionable insights.
The position requires balancing immediate business needs with the team's strategy for a scalable, data-driven organization and identifying trends to unlock opportunities for growth and improved student success.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 7+ years of professional analytics or analytics-related experience, preferably in the Edtech or SaaS space, and demonstrate a team-player attitude with a track record of leading data projects.
The ideal candidate should possess a combination of business acumen and technical data expertise to build productive partnerships that center data in business decisions.
Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and the ability to produce immediate value while focusing on long-term strategy and scalability are essential.
Advanced skills in SQL and data visualization/storytelling are required.
Effective communication and people skills are necessary to influence diverse audiences and build strong partnerships.
